Guayaquil Airport Transfer (GYE)
José Joaquín de Olmedo International Airport (IATA: GYE) is Ecuador's second international gateway and the Pacific coast's main hub, just 5 kilometres north of central Guayaquil. The short airport-to-city distance is a significant advantage versus UIO's 40 km run into Quito. Transfer times to central Guayaquil are 10 to 20 minutes; GYE sits at sea level, so altitude adjustment is not a factor. The airport serves domestic connections to Galápagos (Baltra and San Cristóbal), Cuenca and Loja, and international routes focused on the Americas and Europe. Uber and Cabify operate with legal pickup areas. A LocalsRide pre-booking meets you at arrivals with a name sign at a USD fare locked at reservation.
