Dubai International Airport (DXB) is one of the world's busiest airports, handling over 85 million passengers a year across three terminals as the home hub of Emirates. The headline distance is friendly: Downtown Dubai is only 14 km away. The city is not. Read the list bottom-up when you book a hotel: the beach destinations that dominate the brochures, the Marina, JBR and the Palm, are the far end of the city, two to three times the distance of Downtown. The fixed price is quoted for your actual hotel, so the geography is priced in before you land.
