Sharm el-Sheikh Airport Transfer (SSH)
Sharm el-Sheikh International Airport (IATA: SSH) serves the Sinai Peninsula resort at the tip of the Red Sea, handling European charter traffic and long-haul connections to the Gulf. The airport is 10–18 kilometres from the main resort areas. Unofficial transfer touts are active at arrivals. A LocalsRide transfer provides a pre-confirmed driver inside the meeting area — your Sharm holiday starts at the arrivals gate, not at a transfer desk negotiation.
Transfer Times from SSH by Resort Area
Naama Bay (main resort strip) is 10–15 minutes. Sharks Bay is 8–12 minutes. Sharm Old Market is 15–20 minutes. Nabq Bay (northern resorts) is 20–30 minutes. Ras Um Sid and Hadaba are 12–18 minutes. Dahab (beach town, 90 kilometres north) is 80–100 minutes via the coastal road.
Sharm Airport Layout
Sharm el-Sheikh Airport has two terminals for international operations. Terminal 1 handles the majority of European charter and scheduled international flights. Terminal 2 handles overflow. After customs, exit into the arrivals concourse — your LocalsRide driver will be in the designated meeting area with your name sign.
