SCL sits 22 kilometres north-west of central Santiago and handles all international arrivals into Chile. From SCL the Las Condes and Providencia business districts are 25 to 45 minutes; the Bellavista and Lastarria historic quarters 30 to 50 minutes. Cross-country transfers to Valparaíso (120 km, 1.5 hours) and Viña del Mar (115 km, 1.5 hours) are a major booking category — there is no commercial airport serving the Valparaíso region.

Punta Arenas (PUQ): The Patagonian Gateway

PUQ is 20 kilometres north of Punta Arenas on the Strait of Magellan — the southernmost major airport in the Americas. PUQ is the essential arrival point for Torres del Paine National Park (275 kilometres north, a 4.5 to 5 hour drive via Puerto Natales) and for Antarctic cruise embarkations from the Punta Arenas dock. Onward transfer to Puerto Natales — the practical gateway town for Torres del Paine — is 250 kilometres and 3 to 3.5 hours. Easter Island (IPC): The Remotest Gateway

Mataveri (IPC) is on Easter Island (Rapa Nui), 3,760 kilometres west of the Chilean mainland, reached only by LATAM's daily direct from SCL. The airport is in Hanga Roa, the island's only town, and transfers from IPC to any hotel on the island are 5 to 15 minutes.
