Should I fly PUQ to PNT or drive to Puerto Natales?

Seasonal PUQ-PNT runs Nov-Mar — about 45 min air vs 3–3.5 hours road. The overland via Route 9 passes estancias and open steppe and is itself a Patagonia experience. For tight itineraries or back-to-back Antarctic cruises the flight buys back a day; for standard trekking weeks the ground transfer is more common.

Can a PUQ driver handle large trekking and cold-weather gear?

Yes — PUQ routinely carries full 50–70L trekking packs, cold-weather duffels, tents, poles. For four or more with full kit, request a minivan at booking — a sedan won't fit four full packs plus passengers.
