Liberia Airport Transfer (LIR)
Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (IATA: LIR) is Costa Rica's Pacific-north gateway, 12 kilometres west of Liberia city on the Pan-American Highway. LIR opened its current international terminal in 2012 and has grown rapidly as a direct-to-beach alternative to SJO — most US and Canadian gateway cities (Miami, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Newark, Toronto) run direct flights to LIR, avoiding the long central-highland drive from SJO to the Guanacaste coast. Transfer times to the main beach destinations are short: Papagayo 30 to 45 minutes, Playas del Coco 25 to 40 minutes, Tamarindo 1 to 1.5 hours, Playa Conchal 55 to 80 minutes. A LocalsRide driver meets you at arrivals with a name sign at a fixed USD fare.
