Tashkent Airport Transfer (TAS)
Tashkent International Airport (IATA: TAS) is Uzbekistan's principal gateway and the hub of Uzbekistan Airways, 15 kilometres south-east of central Tashkent. The airport operates two terminals: Terminal 2 for most international arrivals and the newer Terminal 3 opened in 2021. Arriving passengers clear immigration (most Western nationals visa-free for 30 days; US on e-visa) then proceed to baggage reclaim and the landside taxi rank. Yandex Go operates at TAS with a designated pickup zone. A LocalsRide pre-booking meets you at arrivals with a name sign at a USD fare locked at reservation — useful for travellers transferring directly to the Afrosiyob train or for late-night arrivals when airport taxi negotiation is unpleasant.
